The Crossing
The Crossing, an independent, non-denominational Christian Church, deployed solar installations across several Illinois locations, installing a total of 703 kW of solar capacity at church buildings in Jacksonville, Macomb, and Quincy.
The project leveraged both Illinois Adjustable Block Program (ABP) incentives and the direct pay provision of the solar investment tax credit (ITC) established by the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022. In the past, non-profit organizations had to rely on third party financing and power purchasing agreements (PPAs).
Ideal Energy, an ABP Approved Vendor, collaborated with Illinois-based energy broker QFB Energy on the project. Ideal was the prime contractor and carried out all aspects of design, engineering, procurement, and construction.
