Lineage Logistics, the world’s largest temperature-controlled industrial storage and logistics provider, completed a 1.5 MW roof-mounted solar array at its cold storage warehouse in Rochelle, Illinois. The company operates an end-to-end global “cold chain” for food storage and transportation, including 480 locations in 18 countries with access to 70 global ports.

The Rochelle solar project contributes to the company's commitment to providing a sustainable cold chain. With 146 MW of solar capacity across its real estate portfolio as of 2025, the organization ranks sixth in the U.S. for on-site solar capacity and fourth for battery storage capacity according to the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA).

Ideal Energy served as a subcontractor providing DC and AC installation, and in-depth commissioning and testing, all while meeting apprenticeship hours and prevailing wage requirements.
